It’s here! That time of year has come when many Apple supporters wait for Apple to reveal the technological advances that it has made over the past year and stand in line for hours waiting to purchase them, namely the new iPhone. This year Apple announced a few different products with some rather interesting features, including the iPad Pro, the Apple Pencil, the Apple Watch OS 2, and the new Apple TV in addition to the new iPhone and IOS 9.

The new operations system for iPhones and iPads is supposed to come with upgrades to the notes application that allows users to take notes from within an app rather than switching between the two. They have also updated the maps application which now shows nearby transit options as well as nearby places such as restaurants, shops, etc.

Some new things that Apple has revealed are the new news app, which allows users to get all their news conveniently in one place and the new multitasking abilities. Apple has introduced split view, slide over, and picture in picture to allow users to use multiple applications at once in efforts to make devices more efficient.
In addition to an increase in efficiency, Apple has granted users a wish that they have been asking for for a while now: a better Siri. Siri can now set reminders and look up photos based on dates, times and locations as well as powering searches on devices instead of spotlight in addition to the services that it previously provided.
To house these improvements, Apple has created the iPhone 6s and 6s plus. The 6s and the 6s plus are available for pre-order and will be available in stores on September 25th in the previously seen gold, space gray, and silver finishes, but they will now also be available in a new rose gold finish.

Along with the new finish, Apple has created a new 3D touch feature for the new iPhones, allowing users to use different measures of pressure to view or preview pictures, emails, and addresses in maps as well as other applications. Another feature that Apple has added is Quick Actions. With this app, users can access a menu for most applications from the home screen as well as while in other apps. The new Live Photos feature allows live wallpapers and photos of something as simple as a dog wagging its tail or hair blowing in the wind to come to life. Users can now also shoot video in 4k and take 12 MP pictures with the new iSight camera.

In an effort to make the iPhone more durable, Apple has made it with 700 series aluminum and glass made through a dual ion-exchange process which makes it, according to Apple, the “most durable smartphone in the industry.”
